Kwame Kwei-Armah is the Artistic Director of the Young Vic theatre in London.

His playwriting credits includes: A Bitter Herb, Blues Brothers, Soul Sister (Bristol Old Vic); Elmina's Kitchen, Fix Up, Statement of Regret (National Theatre); Elmina's Kitchen (West End); Let There Be Love, Seize the Day (Tricycle Theatre); Beneatha's Place (Baltimore Center Stage); and One Love: The Bob Marley Musical (Baltimore Center Stage, Birmingham Rep).

Film includes Breaking (2022) starring John Boyega.

TV includes Walter's War (BBC).

As a director, his credits include the Public Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, Birmingham Rep, Donmar Warehouse, Manhattan Theatre Club and Young Vic. Kwame was awarded an OBE for Services to Drama in 2011.
