Relaxed Performances
Relaxed Performances are specially adapted to be accessible to a wide range of audiences such as the autistic community, those with a learning disability or anyone with a sensory predisposition, with extra trained staff on hand and dedicated quiet areas inside the theatre should anyone need to leave their seat.
- Loud noises have been reduced and the general volume of the show has been lowered.
- The house lights are dimmed rather than completely turned off.
- Flashing and strobing lights have been reduced.
- Some of the cast will introduce the show, to emphasise that the story is fictional, and nobody is in any danger during the performance.
- Audience members are welcome to move around and make noise during the show, and 'breakout' areas are available in the main theatre bars should you wish to leave the auditorium. Children should always be accompanied by an adult.
Book via LW Theatres when you register for their Access Scheme.
Currently there are no upcoming Relaxed Performances scheduled.
Captioned Performances
Captioning is a way of converting the spoken word into visible text that provides deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people with access to live performances.
Upcoming Captioned Performances:
- Monday 20 April 2026, 7.30pm
Book via LW Theatres when you register for their Access Scheme.
Signed Performances
Throughout the performance, a qualified THEATRESIGN interpreter stands on the left of the stage and uses sign language to relay music and words to D/deaf and hearing impaired patrons, all of whom are seated within easy viewing distance of both the stage and interpreter.
Currently there are no upcoming Signed Performances scheduled.
Book via LW Theatres when you register for their Access Scheme.
Audio Described Performances
Audio description in theatre is a live verbal commentary on the visual elements of a production, delivered as a performance unfolds, through a discreet headset.
In an effort to be economical with audio description during the performance, we provide pre-show notes that describe the scenery and characters in detail. These pre-show notes are played on loop in the 30-minutes prior to the performance.
You can listen to the pre-show notes on your own time.
Upcoming Audio Described Performances:
- Friday 15 May 2026, 7.30pm
Book via LW Theatres when you register for their Access Scheme.
